Aloe Vera: Aloes have been used worldwide for more than 3,500 years for their protective and nutritious qualities. Derived from the Aloe plant, the gel-like substance derived from the long spiked leaves is used in many skincare products. The Aloe vera juice is even drunk to help with digestive problems. Rich with vitamins, minerals, enzymes, amino acids and natural sugars, aloes are believed to help reduce redness and irritation. It also nourishes the skin and can protect from the negative effects of the harsh external atmosphere.
Avocado Oil: Although it is classed as a vegetable oil, the avocado is really a fruit since it has a stone. However, avocado oil contains a rich and deep penetrating oil that is rich in vitamins A, D and E. It also contains lecithin (vital for healthy cells) as well as potassium – a mineral which can help regulate blood pressure and assist bodily recuperation.
Avocado oil is easily absorbed into the skin and deep tissue which makes it ideal for mature skins. It acts as an excellent emollient (skin softener) and hydrates skin so is perfect for very dry skin.
